While living in Europe I was given a camera, this act of kindness derailed my medical ambitions. Returning to New York at the height of the photojournalism frenzy I found myself a devoted assistant to Burt Glinn at Magnum Photos. Burt gave me a unique gift of how to tell a story in one frame. Using that impetus created 25 years of world travel shooting pictures that make a difference to preserve the environment and important historical structures. Living in Hawaii half time gives me the chance to teach workshops to students from around the world allowing me to give back in one of the most beautiful places on earth. I continue to shoot aerials (helicopter and drone) and have embraced fluid motion capture using the RoinMX and Osmo RAW. Exciting storytelling tools that work so well on the documentary films, still and aerial assignments I am currently producing .
